Founded in 1995, Progressive Art Stained Glass Studio serves as the exclusive workshop for renowned artist/designer Simon Simonian.

We can do practically anything and everything in stained, leaded and beveled glass, structural or interior, traditional to contemporary.

We are the foremost studio for creating exclusive stained/leaded glass skylight domes for the highly affluent areas of Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Holmby Hills, etc. We are also revered for our sophisticated work with important historical renovations.

Artist Simon Simonian has an architectural as well as construction background, having been even sought after and recognized by Walt Disney Imagineering for his design contributions to them. He is also a fine artist whose works have been featured in various international publications and exhibitions.

It was his passion to integrate his fine art talent with his structural knowledge to make functional art which led him to discover his niche with the medium of stained/leaded glass.

This combination of structural proficiency with artistic endowment gives our studio a truly unique qualification that is unmatched and unparalleled. This not only guarantees maximum quality of craftsmanship, but allows us to avoid unnecessary overhead and therefore remain cost-effective for the client while using superior materials.

We do every part of the process, from designing to constructing to installing. This requires very specialized knowledge, masterful techniques and precise quality materials, especially for large projects. Lacking even slightly in any of these factors results unfavorably. For as long as we’ve been in operation, not once have any of our works encountered damage due to flaws on our part. Contrarily, we continue to get called upon to repair the newer structural works of others, primarily skylight domes and large windows. This is just a matter of fact. In reality, we have no competition.

We meet or exceed our clients’ expectations in everything we do.

A particular characteristic of our skylight domes is their noticeably round appearance, which is notoriously difficult to achieve. We, however, possess a proprietary method which achieves that special optical illusion of organic lines and genuine roundness in our domes.

We are even capable of designing and creating oval-shaped domes, which are considered rare architectural marvels.

We have worked on numerous historical renovations, some highly sensitive, some with nearly impossible odds, but all done with excellent results and great successes.

All of our original designs are custom and exclusive, which means no design ever gets repeated elsewhere. Each such project is even issued with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Simonian’s artistry also transcends to fused (kiln-fired) glass. We can even create custom pieces to incorporate into leaded glass projects.
